Create Application

Introduction

In Kapsul, an Application is a smart contract-governed storage environment where users manage data, security policies, and access control in a decentralized way. It acts as a self-sovereign storage unit, enabling:

  • ✅ On-Chain Governance – All access control, privacy settings, and policies are enforced through smart contracts.
  • ✅ Multi-Tenant Isolation – Each application is independent, ensuring data privacy and security.
  • ✅ Programmable Privacy & Security – Define encryption, replication, and compliance settings at the application level.
  • ✅ Smart Contract-Based RBAC – User roles and file permissions are stored and verified on-chain.
  • ✅ Verifiable Data Provenance – Every action on stored data is auditable and immutable via blockchain.

An Application in Kapsul is not just a storage entity—it’s a self-regulated, programmable data vault built for security, compliance, and interoperability.

Steps to Create application

  • Log in to your Kapsul account and go to your Dashboard.
  • Navigate to the Applications tab in the Dashboard.
  • Fill in the form to set up your new application and submit
  • On creation, Copy the AppID from list of apps to make requests to kapsul.
